Agile project management

Why do we need these skills? Agile project management methods and tools offer advantages:

  • When influencing factors continuously change throughout the project duration—whether in your company or with your customers.

  • When it is important to get started, even if your objectives and the solution path are not yet 100% clear.

Both are more relevant today than ever before.

What characterizes agile projects?

  • Iterative approach, with limited number of simultaneous tasks per cycle.
  • Focus on early deliverables that provide value, with optimization in subsequent steps.
  • Clear, simple agreements and a willingness to adapt.
  • Motivated, empowered teams with transparency and openness.
  • High success rates—though if failure occurs, it happens earlier and at lower cost.
  • The term “agile” has become overused and carries negative connotations in the DACH region. It is advisable to avoid using the word in internal communications.

Leadership training

We live in a time of rapid change in frameworks, market environments, and declining trust in agreements - an increasingly complex challenge for leaders. I support individuals and teams through consultations and training in areas such as:

  • Enhancing team motivation through collaborative strategy development and clear goal setting (either aligned with an existing business strategy or integrated with a sustainability strategy)

  • Navigating diverse personal values within teams and their environments

  • Targeted team development and conflict management, as conflicts are always part of any transformation process

I always tailor development programs in direct exchange with clients - feel free to inquire without obligation.

ESG - consulting, strategy & reporting, CSRD/ESRS or VSME - reporting

For the first time, the EU CSRD directive, ESRS, and VSME standard are elevating European sustainability reporting to the same level as financial reporting, enabling more targeted investment management. In 2024, after the EU CSRD directive and ESRS were rolled out too quickly, it became clear that excessive reporting requirements imposed too high costs on SMEs. The introduction of the VSME standard has significantly eased the transition. According to the Omnibus Regulation, the streamlined VSME reporting standard will be pivotal for most companies.

Developing a sustainability strategy and VSME reporting bring advantages for customer relationships, supplier partnerships, and employer branding. Feel free to reach out for consultation. Here's an example of a VSME report from a microenterprise.

My typical approach:

VSME Standard (optional for SMEs)

  • Data collection: B3 – B11 (manageable), plus optional C3 – C9

  • Followed by defining practices, strategies, initiatives, and goals

  • Reporting and publication based on individual preferences

ESRS Standard (for companies subject to CSRD reporting obligations)

  • Materiality analysis including stakeholder involvement

  • Significant reduction of data points (lower costs)

  • Data collection and report preparation

Depending on complexity, I recommend using the ESG-Cockpit from Akaryon.
